Nine months have passed since Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively welcomed their first daughter James, but the idea of having sleepless nights and taking on diaper duty has not subsided for the "Deadpool' star.

"I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time," Reynolds said in an interview for the October issue of GQ magazine.

Despite having a tense relationship with his own father, the 38-year-old actor's transition to becoming a father has become his greatest accomplishment so far.

"I look at each of my older brothers, and they're all fathers, and they're all great fathers. So I had some good examples," Reynolds shared. ""¦I like being a father. I like having a daughter. I would like to have more kids. It seems to suit me pretty well."

The actor also discussed his upcoming debut as the merc with a mouth and the reasons why the character's dark humor is not the only thing that has Marvel fans excited.

Reynolds believes that "Deadpool' comes at the right time owing to the fact that it will reach out towards a generation that have gone through various comic-book movies and have been delighted by them in varying degrees of success.

"It's fun," the actor added. "That's also why the film is budgeted the way it's budgeted, is released the way it's released, is allowed to be rated R, kind of all these things. Because for the studio, it's actually relatively low-risk."

Drawn out from the story of Marvel Comics' most eccentric anti-hero, "Deadpool' follows the encounters of former Special Forces operative Wade Wilson, who becomes a mercenary, sooner or later.

After going through a rogue experiment that gives him accelerated healing powers, he later adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Combining his newly acquired abilities with his disturbing sense of humor, Deadpool goes out to seek the man who almost destroyed his life.

Aside from Reynolds as the titular character, other cast members include Morena Baccarin as Copycat , TJ Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Ed Skrein as Ajax.

The upcoming flick will also feature the mutant Colossus, although Daniel Cudmore has confirmed that he will not be portraying the character.

Directed by Tim Miller, the film is penned by "Zombieland' writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

"Deadpool' is set to make an official premiere on Feb. 12, 2016.
