Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Fans of the "Uncharted" series have been waiting for its upcoming installment ever since Naughty Dog announced its development in 2013.

However, according to a new announcement from the developer, the launch of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has been delayed.

Originally, the game was set to come out during the holiday season of this year. However, because certain development issues, Naughty Dog decided to re-schedule to game's release to March 18, 2016 instead, according to IGN.

But, due to technical difficulties, the development studio decided to push back the game's debut. According to Naughty Dog, the upcoming game is already nearing it completion. However, upon inspecting the title, the developers noticed that a few aspects need to be improved.

This prompted the studio to postpone the game's release in order to give its development team enough time to work on the game. Instead of March, "Uncharted 4" will not come out in April next year.

"This is our largest 'Uncharted' game to date, and the team has been working incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game's development in a timely manner," Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, the respective creative director and game director of the game said in a blog post.

"However, as we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game's levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line," they added. "After carefully considering all of our options, we decided to extend the schedule, making sure that we get a few more polish passes before submitting our gold master (the final disc for manufacturing)."

The two executives of Naught Dog noted that delaying the launch of the game was not an easy choice. However, the move is necessary in order to ensure that the game will provide quality gameplay experience once it comes out.

As explained by the studio, "Uncharted 4" will serve as the conclusion to the series and will end the narrative of protagonist Nathan Drake. The game, which the company called the "most ambitious installment," will come out on April 26 next year exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console.

The upcoming game will focus on Drake who has retired from his profession as a fortune hunter. But, just as he was beginning to enjoy his normal life, his long-lost brother Sam, who Drake thought was already dead, asks for his help to uncover the truth behind the mysterious pirate colony Libertatia.
