Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson announced his engagement with singer girlfriend Ciara Harris on a Twitter video last weekend.

The video shows Wilson saying, "she said yes," and Harris wearing a ring on her left hand, on a beach location with sounds of sea waves in the background.

"Yay, I'm so excited!" The video has Ciara quipping. "God is so good." To which, Wilson added, "all the time."

The couple started dating in April, 2015, and have been constant companions in many public events, including a White House state dinner with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

They have publicly spoken about their decision to abstain from sex after Wilson had a counseling session with his pastor Miles McPherson at The Rock Church in June, 2015.

He asked this question to his girlfriend last year, "What would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table and did it Jesus' way, no sex?"

"I knew God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me and to bless so many people with the impact that she has and I have. We're not going to be perfect, by any means," he said. "He's anointed both of us and He's calling for us to do something special."

Wilson divorced his wife of two years, Ashton Meem in 2014, and Ciara also ended her relationship with her former fiancé rapper Future the same year, with whom she has a 2-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn.

Both of them tweeted the same video on their pages. Harris wrote, "I feel complete. God Is Good. Grateful For You @DangRussWilson. You Are Heaven Sent. I'm Looking Forward To Spending Forever With You."

Wilson's video caption read, "She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one. No Greater feeling... #TrueLove @Ciara."
