Apologist Hugh Ross to Speak in Koreatown

New Covenant Academy, a K-12 Christian school located in Koreatown, Los Angeles, will be hosting an apologetics event featuring Dr. Hugh Ross, the president and founder of Reasons to Believe, the school announced on Tuesday. The event will take place on September 9 at 7 PM.

Reasons to Believe, which was founded in 1986, focuses on showing that reason and science support the truth of the Bible. The organization, which consists of five research scholars and over 200 volunteer apologists, aims to share the insight through speaking events, articles, books, and media interviews.

"Dr. Ross is a renowned and accomplished Christian scientist who has provided compelling scientific evidence for the existence of the Christian God for the past four decades," the school said in a press release.

"He speaks at seminars such as the upcoming event at New Covenant Academy to equip Christians to engage, rather than withdraw from or blindly retaliate, in discussions with educated non-Christians," the press release continues. "We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to attend this first-ever apologetics event in Koreatown to have their questions answered and their faith strengthened."

Meanwhile, New Covenant Academy, which is a WASC-accredited school, consists of some 180 students and 16 full-time teachers. NCA is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, and the California Association of Private School Organizations.
