An interfaith prayer forum for the Asian American community will be taking place in Las Vegas on the morning of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) Presidential Town Hall on August 12.

The prayer forum, which is hosted by Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) and other faith leaders, will be at the Caesars Palace Hotel from 9 to 10:30 AM, while the Presidential Town Hall, hosted by Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote and the Asian American Journalist Association (AAJA), will be at the same location from 1 to 4 PM. Both events are free, and presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been invited to speak at the Town Hall meeting.

"The API Presidential Town Hall Interfaith Prayer Forum is open to all, and is aimed at providing voice for AAPIs from faith-based and moral perspectives," said KCCD in a statement. "We invite you to join us to pray for our nation, our nation's leaders and for the upcoming election in November. After the Town Hall session in the afternoon, we plan to develop faith-based responses to the issues raised by the AAPI community. We welcome leaders of other faith traditions to join in the planning and coordination of this event."
