Middle and high school students of six Korean immigrant churches in Los Angeles came together for a night of worship, food, and games on October 14 at Young Nak Presbyterian Church.

About 150 students and 30 teachers from YoungNak Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles (YNPC), Oriental Mission Church, Open Door Presbyterian Church, Glory Church of Jesus Christ, Lighthouse Mission Church, and Choong Hyun Mission Church gathered to worship under the theme, "Ekklesia - To Be Like Our God in Our Relationship.' Pastor Alex Han from GCJC was featured as the main speaker.

"The churches got together to promote unity of the youth in Los Angeles, and to kick off a basketball tournament that begins on October 15," said Pastor James Lee of YNPC. Five out of the six churches that worshipped together will be participating in a joint church basketball tournament, with the exception of Choong Hyun and including Light of Love Mission Church. The churches plan to have another worship night together at the conclusion of the tournament.

Having such a joint youth worship night was meaningful because it allowed the youth to witness different styles of worship in different churches, Lee said, and also allowed them to "experience the closeness of people who come together in the name of Jesus."
